Days Out

Woolacombe Beach

We had a fantastic time camping in North Devon last week. We enjoyed some lovely walks amid the beautiful scenery. I didn’t really know too much about the area, but was pleasantly surprised by the glorious mixture of moorland, valleys and pretty little coves. The area also boosts an award winning beach at Woolacombe.

I’ve got so much to write up but, inevitably, I’ve been distracted by unpacking, housework and the baby. So, in the meantime, here’s some great photos from Luke taken on the lovely sunny day we spent on the beach. We met some friends from home who were staying nearby and spent the day with them. We got a beach hut (which was a great help considering all the paraphernalia we seem to cart everywhere these days) and I had a relaxing day snoozing in the sun (very welcome after two days of walking) while Luke played in the sea. I can see why it is so highly regarded, it really was a top class beach.

  1. Fabulous photos! So atmospheric. We have been spending some time in South Devon lately – such a beautiful county. Must try the north coast next time!

  2. Lovely photos! We live in South Devon but hardly ever go up to North Devon. I’d like to go a visit this beach though it looks lovely #MondayEscapes
