My whole family are massive fans of flapjack, and as it makes the perfect walking or camping snack, I thought I’d add the recipe to my blog.
Preheat oven to 180
100g butter
2 tablespoons golden syrup
2 tablespoons honey
50g soft brown sugar
250g oats
25g plain flour
150g dried fruit, chopped nuts and/or seeds (can use any combination -whatever you like here!)
Put butter, syrup, honey and sugar in a heavy bottomed saucepan and melt over a low heat.
Put rest of the ingredients in a large bowl. When the butter, sugar and syrup mixture is all melted, pour over the oats and stir until well mixed.
Put in a lined brownie tin and cook for 20mins or until golden brown. Cut while still warm and leave in the tin to cool.
I LOVE flapjacks – never seen the addition of honey though. Will try it next time!x #howtosunday

The honey is my mum’s addition, I really like it so use it in my flapjack!
